About: Dr. Abu Tayub Md Nazmussakib Bhuyan began his education with Islamic schooling, and he successfully completed Dakhil (S.S.C.) and Alim (H.S.C.) Examinations under Bangladesh Madrasah Education Board, securing GPA 5.00 in both exams. Later he got admitted to the University of Dhaka, where he studied B.A (Honours) and M.A (Masters) in the Department of Islamic Studies and graduated attaining the 1st position with scholarships and Dean’s Awards in both levels. He was a lecturer in the Department of Islamic Studies at Jagannath University, Dhaka, from 2015 to 2018. Dr. Nazmussakib completed his PhD from the Department of Islamic Law of Ankara University of Turkey under the Turkiye Burslari (the Fulbright Scholarship of the Turkish Government), attaining the 1st position in the course work with 90% marks. Now he has been working as an Assistant professor in the Department of Islamic Studies of Jagannath University, Dhaka, since 2018 to till now. Nazmussakib’s research interests centered on Islamic Family Law, Comparative Religious Studies, Prophetic Biography, International Islamic Law, Mysticism, Islamic Jurisprudence, and Islam and Contemporary Issues.
